Safeguarding

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is our legal and moral duty as a college, to ensure that the welfare of all young people and vulnerable adults is an overriding priority. We follow procedures to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect or significant harm.

All staff are trained to provide help as soon as possible and will refer any safeguarding concerns to the college’s dedicated safeguarding team. Details of designated safeguarding officers are provided in the campus links below.

You can find our Safeguarding Policy here.

What is Prevent and British Values?

Preventing radicalisation and extremism is a central part of our safeguarding policy and procedure. It means we must safeguard students from the risk of being drawn into terrorism and ensure that we stand up for the fundamental British Values of democracy, rule of law and mutual respect.

You can find our Prevent Strategy here.

What should I do if I have a safeguarding concern?
